Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten - Staff
Live Oak is a great place to be and I am proud to be here. This year will be my fourth year teaching transitional kindergarten. Prior to moving to the Bay Area, I lived in Modesto for 17 years. I taught Kindergarten and First Grade for Modesto City Schools. After graduating from California State University, Stanislaus, I taught third and fourth grade for Manteca Unified School District. My husband and I have two grown sons, one of whom has special needs. I like reading historical fiction and enjoy working in my yard.
My favorite hobbies are sewing decorative items for my home and searching through antique stores for the perfect accessory or piece of furniture. My family time is a priority for me. Being with my husband and sons is my favorite thing to do and I make every effort to spend time with them. I enjoy teaching very much and love becoming acquainted with the families of my students. Together, we become a team working toward a successful school year for their children. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and anticipate a fabulous year filled with lots of learning and amazing growth. Thank you, for sharing your precious children with me this year!

Welcome to Kindergarten at Live Oak! I have been a part of the Live Oak staff since the school opened in 2007. This will be my 21st year of teaching in the early elementary grades. I have taught Kindergarten, First grade and a K/1 combination class. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Spanish. I have a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a BLAC & Spanish Supplemental from Cal State Hayward.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, watching NBA basketball, going to the movies and spending time with my family.
My favorite part of teaching is watching the children grow throughout the year. One of my goals for my students is to foster a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

Hello and welcome to Live Oak Elementary. I am so excited to be a part of the amazing Live Oak Community! I have been at Live Oak since it opened in 2007. I started my teaching career in the Oakley Unified Elementary School District where I taught for 3 years in the early elementary grades. Kindergarten is a process. I love seeing the change and growth that all students make throughout the year. I look forward to working with my students and parents to make this a wonderful year for all. I like to teach all my students to be lifelong learners because that is what I am. Let’s Go Golden Eagles!
